MORE NEW PHOTOS ONLINE: There are many new photos posted throughout this site. I continuously update and add pages of new work. For instance, on the "Digimages 2.0 and Digimages 3.0" pages I recently began a photo series entitled "Living in the USA" that are my observations concerning American culture. I will continuously update and add pages as I capture new images throughout my travels in western PA. There are also selected images with personal comments and critiques by other artists you can view at: http://www.photocritique.net My gallery can be found by searching for Teegee in the photographer list.
Drop by often and email your comments and suggestions to tgombar@verizon.net
COMPOSITES:
Recently I have received numerous questions concerning the content of the composites posted on this site. Quite frankly, I haven't a rational answer for the contextual interpretations of these works. Some observers have interpreted the works in a manner that is quite "fresh" to my personal perspective. Many of them are extremely "free form" and automatic. Some of them are derived from dreams or parts of dreams. Some have a message. Others are simply made for fun. One concept I can assure you of, is that they are my personal response to our culture as seen through my experiences. Thankyou for all your comments and suggestions. They are always welcome.
NEW BOX CREATES SPURT:
I've been having a "creativity spurt" recently since my folks bought me a new computer. Now I have, hmmm, seven!!! But honestly, only three-and-a-half are in working order. The rest are scattered around my place like concrete blocks in a masonry yard. I'm having fun putting together seemingly innocuous photographs at the speed of light! It's great not having to run to the galley to refill my coffee cup while I wait for a 100 MB files to save... Thanks Mom & Dad. You're the greatest... and I will make some money from the new "box".
GALLERY EXHIBIT:
Recently I was invited to exhibit photographs in an invitational retrospective gallery exhibit for my photographic mentor, Michael Changnon.
It was a sincere privelege to view my work hanging in the same gallery as such an influential man as Michael.
Many thanks to all my collegues for their candid comments. It was nice seeing old friends again.
